Zero-click search is when a user gets the answer they need directly from a search or AI results page without clicking through to any website. AI Overviews and AI assistant answers increase zero-click behavior by summarizing information in place, so the user never needs to visit a source.
It shifts the goal of visibility from earning the click to being present and accurately represented inside the answer, since much of the value now happens before any click occurs.
