Track your brand in Claude
Claude, built by Anthropic, has become the assistant of choice for many professionals and technical teams, exactly the kind of user who asks it to shortlist vendors and tools. Diploria polls Claude with your category's real buying questions, stores every answer, and shows you whether Claude puts your brand in the conversation or leaves you out.
How Claude decides who to mention
Like other assistants, Claude answers many questions directly from model memory: the picture of your brand it built from web text during training. Brands that were widely and consistently described across reviews, documentation, comparisons, and articles at training time tend to be named confidently; brands with a thin footprint get hedged, generic answers or no mention at all.
Claude can also search the web. When it does, it retrieves current pages and cites the sources behind its statements, so retrievable and clearly structured content, plus presence on the sites it pulls in, drives the answer more than memory does.
Claude is notably careful in tone. It tends to hedge, qualify, and avoid strong recommendations when its information is thin. In practice that means weakly documented brands do not just rank lower in Claude's answers, they often get left out of them entirely rather than described badly.

What Diploria tracks in Claude
- Whether Claude mentions your brand on each tracked prompt, and where in the answer
- Memory mode and Live (web search) mode, measured separately
- Every full response, stored, so you can read exactly how Claude characterises you
- Sentiment and framing: confident recommendation, hedged mention, or absence
- Competitor mentions and your share of voice on identical prompts
- Cited sources in Live mode, including whether your own domain is used
Memory-mode engines answer from model knowledge without web search. Live-mode engines search the web. Live answers can include citations when the engine provides them. Choose Memory for baseline model knowledge and Live for current, web-grounded results.
Diploria tracks Claude in both Memory mode and Live mode. Claude's memory answers reflect your long-term footprint; its live answers show whether your current content is retrievable and citable.
What makes Claude different
Claude's distinguishing trait is its conservatism. Where other engines will happily produce a confident top-five list, Claude prefers to qualify claims and only names brands it has solid material on. That raises the bar: to be recommended by Claude you generally need clear, factual, well evidenced coverage, not just volume of mentions. The upside is that once you are in Claude's answers, you tend to be described accurately and favorably. For B2B and technical categories, where Claude's audience is concentrated, that hedging behavior makes visibility here disproportionately valuable.
How to improve your visibility in Claude
- Publish clear, factual, evidence-backed content about what your product does, with specifics Claude can safely repeat
- Keep third-party descriptions of your brand accurate and current; Claude leans on well established sources
- Make documentation, pricing, and comparison pages crawlable and unambiguous
- Track non-branded category prompts: Claude's caution means absence is your most likely failure mode, and you will not see it unless you measure
- Fix inconsistencies between your site and external profiles so Claude has no reason to hedge
Diploria's Optimization Hub turns this into a workflow: the AI Readiness Scan grades any page for AI readiness, the AI Readiness Checklist prioritises the fixes, and AI crawler access checks make sure engines can reach your content at all.
